Internet Resources, Managed by Experts
DreamServer is a Local Internet Registry (LIR) and member of Réseaux IP Européens (RIPE NCC). We lease IPv6 subnets, register ASNs, sponsor existing resources, and operate BGP networks on your behalf. Every request is handled by certified network engineers, every RIPE policy requirement is taken care of, and every object in the RIPE Database, mnt-by, inet6num, aut-num, route6, RPKI ROA, is created and maintained for you.
What a Local Internet Registry Does, and How DreamServer Fits In
A Local Internet Registry (LIR) is an organisation that has been allocated blocks of internet number resources, IPv4, IPv6 and ASNs, by a Regional Internet Registry. In our region the RIR is the RIPE NCC, and an LIR is the party responsible for sub-allocating those resources to customers and keeping every record in the RIPE Database accurate.
DreamServer operates its own LIR under AS57050. From our own RIPE IPv6 /29 allocation we lease prefixes down to /40, we register new 32-bit ASNs, we sponsor resources belonging to other organisations, and we run fully managed LIR setups for companies that want the resources without the RIPE paperwork.
Because RIPE NCC has fully exhausted its IPv4 free pool back in 2019 and is now operating only on a waiting list, we do not lease IPv4 space. We guide our clients onto IPv6 with dual-stack migration plans, so your network stays future-proof rather than stuck bidding for shrinking IPv4 blocks on the grey market.
Every resource we hand over is production-ready: RPKI-signed, mnt-by object created under your organisation, reverse DNS delegated, route6 filters in place. No waiting for the LIR; provisioning is typically instant once payment clears.

Verify CertificationHow LIR Services Work
From request to allocation, we handle the entire process with RIPE NCC on your behalf.
A Fully Managed Path, Ticket to Allocation
You open a ticket describing what you need: an IPv6 allocation, an ASN, an IPv4 PI block or sponsoring for an existing resource. From there our LIR team takes over.
We validate the request against current RIPE NCC policy, draft the justification and prepare every database object you need: inetnum, aut-num, route/route6, as-set, abuse-c. The official submission goes through our maintainer, so you never touch the RIPE Portal, the request queue or the clarification back-and-forth.
Once RIPE allocates the resource, we sign the RPKI ROAs, delegate reverse DNS and hand the resource over production-ready. The whole flow typically completes in 5–7 business days end-to-end.
If RIPE comes back with feedback or your request needs corrections, we close both loops shown on the flowchart on your behalf. You only hear from us when the resource is signed, routed and ready to announce.

IPv6 Subnet Lease
Lease a /40 IPv6 prefix from our own RIPE /29 allocation. Goes live the moment payment clears, we create the inet6num and mnt-by under your organisation in the RIPE Database and push the RPKI ROA same minute.

/40LIR Sponsoring
Already own IPv6 prefixes or an ASN under another LIR that is closing, transferring or charging too much? We take over sponsorship under our RIPE NCC membership, mnt-by updated to DreamServer, RPKI continued, annual compliance handled, routing never touched.
- Seamless sponsorship transfer
- RIPE Database object updates
- RPKI ROA continuity
- Annual RIPE NCC audit support
